Get To Know Our Client: Jason Lemon of Lemon Properties

Every quarter —or so—we celebrate the realtors, developers, and flippers who are so often our home staging clients. They are the ones who understand the value of home staging to sell homes fast. So, in honor of Get to Know Your Customers Day (we prefer Get to Know Your Clients Day), we asked Jason Lemon of Lemon Properties a few questions about himself and his very busy business in Connecticut’s beautiful northwestern corner.

What brought you to buying and developing homes for sale?

I originally started rehabbing distressed properties to create revenue during the winter months.

Dining Room at the historic Landowska House in Lakeville, CT. Lemon Properties restored and renovated this beautiful and significant home and Staged Ryte staged it. It sold within one month.

And what else are you doing?

I also have a full landscape/hardscape team and work with other designers and builders doing installs, renovations, new builds, etc.

Where is your work focused and how many homes do you develop/year?

My work is focused in the Northwest Corner of Connecticut to keep traveling to a minimum and to be close to home and my family. I develop around four properties a year for myself, and many more for clients.

What are your challenges?

Some of the most challenging aspects with work right now is acquiring materials. I have been waiting for windows and doors for multiple jobs for 30 weeks. The supply chain has just not yet recovered from COVID.

What do you find rewarding?

I do all of the designs for my homes, hardscape and landscape, and then myself and my team bring it to a finished product. It's very rewarding to bring a house back to life. Some of my favorite moments are sharing the progress with my children. They love visiting the houses, playing hide and seek, and they always name each house.

How did you find Staged Ryte?

I discovered Staged Ryte through my dear friend, Anita Johnson. I had a lake house project that was going on the market and she suggested that I inquire with Staged Ryte about staging the property.

What’s your experience working with Dawn and Staged Ryte?

I have had two wonderful experiences working with Dawn. One being a lake house in Sharon, CT and the other being the historic Landowska House in Lakeville, CT, which was a challenge for all due to its history and size.

I love the fact that Dawn not only incorporated antiques in the right areas, but also gave the house modern touches to appeal to young families. Both houses sold within the first month! I have just acquired a handful of new properties and am very excited to work with Staged Ryte when they are completed.
